How renting works

  1. 1

Call, text, or fill out the form. Tell us which trailer and which days.

  2. 2

We check that it's open on your dates and ask what you'll tow with. Your hitch ball size is the usual question.

  3. 3

Upload your driver's license and proof of insurance. Then you get a lockbox code on your phone.

  4. 4

Pick up any hour, day or night, and check the hitch and lights before you leave. Bring it back on the date we set and empty it out first.

Before you book

Will my truck or SUV pull it?

Maybe. Look up the tow rating in your owner's manual, then add the trailer's weight and your load. Tell us what you drive and what you're hauling, and we'll say yes or no before you come out. You'll also need to know your hitch ball size. It's usually 2 inches or 2 5/16 inches.

What do I need to rent one?

A driver's license and proof of insurance on the vehicle you're towing with. You upload a photo of each before pickup. Both are required before you get the lockbox code.

How does pickup work?

It all happens on your phone. Once your license and insurance are uploaded, you get a code for the lockbox. Pick up the trailer any hour, day or night. Nobody has to be there.

Do I need insurance?

Your auto policy needs to cover what you tow. Call your insurance company before you book and ask. You'll upload proof before pickup.

What's the cancellation policy?

What you get back depends on how far ahead you cancel.

  • 7 or more days before pickup: full refund, minus processing fees
  • 3 to 6 days before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 3 days (72 hours) before pickup: no refund

Any cancellation can be turned into a full credit for a future rental instead. Credits are good for 6 to 12 months.

When you book, we hold the trailer for your dates and nobody else can reserve it. That's why late cancellations don't get a refund.

Do you deliver?

Not as a regular service, but sometimes we can. If you're within 100 miles, call or text and we'll see what we can do.
